Why Elder Apps?
My father loves his garden. He grows many vegetables and at 96 years old spends many hours tending to his crops and generously giving to all who come and visit.
Unfortunately his old flip phone broke and literally fell apart, although we are not sure if he dropped it or threw it against the wall in frustration. Mobile phones are not friendly to use for older people.
We had a old Android phone that seemed to work, but we quickly realised that modern phones are too complex, have too many buttons and are too hard to remember how to use properly.
My son searched online for an easy to use App that just did basic speed dialling, but the ones available did not work properly, looked rubbish, were limited with annoying subscriptions or covered in Adverts – this was not acceptable.
Hence the decision to kick off Elder Apps and give Elder Dialler free to my Dad as a gift (and now free for other older people around the world too!).
