Use the Dial Pad

The Dial Pad lets a helper or confident phone user manually enter a phone number when the Dial Pad preference is enabled.

What appears on the Dial Pad screen

The Dial Pad shows the familiar number buttons from 0 to 9, plus star and hash. The number buttons also show their associated letters, matching a standard telephone keypad.

  1. Open Elder Dialler in Normal Mode. The app must not be pinned when changing the Dial Pad preference.
  2. Enable Dial Pad in Preferences if needed. This makes manual number entry available alongside speed-dial calling.
  3. Enter the number using the large keypad buttons. Check the entered number before starting the call.
  4. Use Backspace to correct mistakes. The backspace button removes the last entered digit.
  5. Press CALL only when the number is correct. Ask before dialling may show a confirmation before the call starts.
