Safe Call Mode
When Advanced Safe Call Mode is on, Elder Dialler checks an incoming number against Contacts. It permits a matched Contact and rejects an unmatched, invalid or private number.
Understand explicit blocking, Safe Call Mode and their different purposes.
When Advanced Safe Call Mode is on, Elder Dialler checks an incoming number against Contacts. It permits a matched Contact and rejects an unmatched, invalid or private number.
A number deliberately marked as blocked is rejected before the Safe Call Mode check. Blocking remains effective whether Safe Call Mode is on or off.
Important limitation: Contact matching and blocking cannot identify every scam or spoofed caller. A caller may imitate a trusted number, and phone or network behaviour may vary.
Be advised that Safe Call Mode may reject calls from unsaved health service, emergency worker, neighbour or other legitimate caller not in the Contacts list, although these can easily be added as new contacts from the call history when needed.
Behaviour checked against Elder Dialler app commit 706ee379 and the current incoming-call admission order.
