Run Guided Setup
Run through every Guided Setup screen and understand what each choice configures.
Follow the seven screens in order
Guided Setup saves the most commonly needed choices in a single sequence. You can review or change them later in Preferences when the app is not pinned.
1. Welcome
Guided setup is used to provide a starting point for use of the Elder Dialler on your phone. It assumes that you have some Contacts setup on your phone which you would like as Speed Dial buttons. If you don't have any contacts setup yet, then you should press ADD CONTACTS to add them before pressing CONTINUE.

Use ADD CONTACTS first if the phone Contacts app is empty. 2. People to set up
Choose between 1 and 10 people. Elder Dialler uses the choice to prepare the contact-selection step and selects a main-screen layout with 6, 8 or 10 speed-dial positions. Note that Show Contact Photos will only appear on the paid version of the App but this can also be setup later.

Example of 6 people to be added with photos. 3. Speed Dial Contacts
Select the Contact names you would like to appear as Speed Dial buttons. In this example 6 out of the available 6 have been set, but you can leave spaces unused for later assignment.

Alphabetical list, you can scroll to view all contacts. 4. SOS Contacts
Select consenting contacts in the order Elder Dialler should offer them during an SOS sequence. Check the time-between-calls setting, or skip SOS setup if it is not appropriate.

Select from available contacts, then use the arrows to move them into the calling sequence. 5. Safe Call Mode
Choose ON to permit incoming calls ONLY from Contacts set up in the phone, or OFF to permit incoming calls from anyone. This step appears only when Advanced Mode is available.

ON to filter by Contacts, OFF to permit all incoming calls. 6. Pin Screen
Enable screen pinning to convert operation to a simple phone with speed dial and call history only. This is best for users who are unfamiliar with technology or have disabilities. Pin Screen is a free option and does not require Advanced.

Enable Pin Screen only when it suits the person using the phone. 7. Setup summary
As Guided Setup is only available once after installation, you should check to make sure the options are correct. If you spot something wrong, you can go BACK and change things at this point. If everything looks fine, then press FINISH to activate the setup and show the app Preferences screen. Note that if you make a mistake, you can always change the app settings later, but this is more of a manual process.

Check the summary before finishing Guided Setup.
The sequence follows the current Elder Dialler Guided Setup state order.
